Personal loan scams are easy to fall for if you aren't careful.

Personal loans are an incredibly helpful financial tool when used appropriately. It can help you consolidate debt, especially if you have high-interest credit card debt. It can also help you find cash for any financial emergency. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who like to prey on consumers who are looking for access to funds through credit. Personal loan scams are a dime a dozen, nowadays. In fact, according to the Federal Trade Commission, nearly $1 trillion was lost due to loan scams and fraud in 2017. To avoid becoming a victim of online personal loan scams, we’ve compiled a list of warning signs you should watch out for.

What are personal loan scams?

A personal loan scam takes advantage of people who are in need of money by tricking them into giving the “lender” whatever money they do have. So, how does this happen? Well, once the fake lender approves the loan, he or she promises to send the money once the borrower pays a fee. They may call it an origination fee, a loan insurance fee, or small collateral for the loan. The amount could be as low as $50 or go as high as several thousand dollars. The amount will usually depend on the amount of money being borrowed. Of course, once the borrower pays the fee, the lender disappears, never to be heard from again.

Remember, “advance fee loans” where you are required to pay money in order to borrow money are illegal. Legitimate lenders will never ask you to pay a fee in exchange for a loan. Also, it doesn’t really make financial sense to spend money in order to get money back.

Take note that not all fraudsters are out to get your money. Some use these scams in order to get something far more valuable – your personal information for identity theft.

How to avoid online personal loan scams:

If you want to make sure that your lender is legit, you can look out for the following red flags:

No credit check required

Reputable lenders will always look into your credit history or other financial information in order to determine whether you will be able to pay back the loan. If a lender tells you that they don’t need to check your credit in order to approve your loan, you should be very wary. Scammers are not interested in learning whether you can pay off your loan because they’re more interested in getting your money or personal information. To protect yourself, read up on all the requirements of a loan application. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. For those with poor credit, don’t be disheartened. There are reputable lenders who provide personal loans for people with bad credit. While the rates and fees may not be as low as you’d like them to be, they’re better than getting scammed.

Upfront fees

One of the most common warning signs that a lender is not legit is the requirement of a fee in exchange for guaranteed approval. Once you pay the fee, the scammer disappears, and you’re left wondering where the loan money is. As we’ve already mentioned, a lender promising to loan money in exchange for a fee is not a legitimate one as the act is considered illegal.

Aside from asking for an upfront fee, another red flag is the payment method the lender uses. The US has very strict mail fraud laws. As a result, scammers don’t like receiving payments through the mail. They also avoid having the payment made via credit card or personal check. If the “lender” asks for payment to be wired to them, then you should also be wary.

The lender is not registered in your state

All personal loan lenders are required by law to register for a license in the states they do business in. When checking out a lender, make sure that your state is on their list.  Even if they’re licensed in other states but not yours, you should avoid entertaining their offers. It may be that a scammer is using the company’s name to defraud people. To avoid this, you should verify their license in your state attorney general’s office.

Incomplete loan offer

All lenders are required by the Truth in Lending Act to provide borrowers with the complete loan terms which include the final cost of the loan (principal and interest) before they sign the papers. If your loan offer has missing details, it could be a scam. In addition, loan offers that contain spelling, or grammatical errors could be a scam as well.

The lender gives you a deadline

Scammers create a sense of urgency in order to manipulate borrowers. If a lender tells you that their special offer is going to expire soon, it’s likely a scam. A legitimate personal lender offers fixed rates depending on your credit, not on when you apply for the loan. They definitely do not put pressure on you so that you make your decision hastily.

Guaranteed approval

Guaranteed loans are the stuff of dreams. No serious lender will give out personal loans without checking your credit history or other financial information. They may not give out a loan without ensuring you can pay it back. Scammers use this to lure borrowers into taking a bite and then tricking them into paying an upfront fee.

How to find personal loans that are not scams:

Spotting a personal loan scam is easy once you know what to look out for. Most of the time, if something is too good to be true or feels off, then just steer clear. There are plenty of reputable personal loan lenders for you to choose from. To figure out which lenders are real and which ones are fake, make sure:

  1. the lender is easy to contact
  2. the lender has a secure website
  3. the lender runs a credit check
  4. the loan terms are clearly written
  5. there are no upfront fees
  6. reviews and ratings are available online

Annual Whale Hunt Turns Sea Red With Blood In Faroe Islands

NEWS

Faroe Islanders have continued their centuries old tradition of slaughtering whales in scenes that show this year’s hunt turning the sea red with blood.

The Pilot Whales were herded towards the shore of Torshavn, the capital and largest city of the Faroe Islands during the summer migration of the sea creatures, who were slaughtered for meat during the drive.

In a Facebook post, Blue Planet Society estimate that 130-150 pilot whales and 10-20 white-sided dolphins were brutally slaughtered during the hunt.

Approximately 500 cetaceans have now been killed ‘for food’ in these islands since the beginning of 2019.

According to Sea Shepherd UK, the hunt can take hours to complete. Fishermen trap the animals, and blunt hooks are then beaten into their blowholes. The pilot whales are then dragged onto the sand where they have their spinal cords sliced.

The annual slaughter has courted large amounts of controversy in recent years as pictures of the hunt has become more widespread.

Calls to ban the hunting of dolphins and small whales in Japan and the Faroe Islands continue to circulate, with campaign group The Blue Planet Society receiving over 260,000 signatures for its online petition urging for a ban of the practice.

However, Faroe Islands locals have long defended the right of their community to continue this tradition which tourist officials point out on Visit Faroe Islands is centuries old, and that whaling continues to this day.

The site reads: “The Faroese have eaten pilot whale meat and blubber since they first settled the islands over a century ago.

“Today, as in times past, the whale drive is a community activity open to all, while also well organised on a community level and regulated by national laws.

“Records of all pilot whale hunts have been kept since 1584 and the practice is deemed sustainable, as there an estimated 778,000 whale in the eastern North Atlantic region.

“Approximately 100,000 swim close to the Faroe Islands, and the Faroese hunt an average 800 pilot whales annually.

“The meat and blubber from the hunt is distributed equally among those who have participated.”

However, Public health authorities have warned that consuming the meat may pose a health hazard due to high levels of mercury and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) which are released by industry into the environment. These toxic elements can then end up in the whale meat.

As well as affecting people’s intellectual and neurological development, consuming food tainted with Mercury and POPs can also weaken the immune system, according to Phys Org.

Finance your moving expenses with a personal loan.

Moving can be an extremely stressful and exhausting experience. It also can be quite costly. According to the American Moving and Storage Association, the average cost of a local household move is $1,250. For a long distance move of 1,000 miles, the average cost is $4,890. Whether you’re just moving across town or across the country, it’s prudent to say that you’re going to have to shell out some money to get everything to where you’re going. Now, you can fund your move using your emergency fund to pay for the move, but not all of us have one. Fortunately, there’s another option – a personal loan for moving expenses. Before we get into that though, let’s discuss something important first.

What Are the Main Costs of Moving?

Obviously, the cost of a move, even if it is just across town, can be incredibly expensive. Who knew, right? What could possibly make it that expensive? Well, there are several factors that can affect the cost of moving.

1.Travel Fees

These fees include fuel and labor costs (the time it takes the movers to get your stuff from point A to point B) can add up pretty quickly, especially if the move is long distance.

2.  Size of your move

The amount of stuff you plan to take with you to your next place will greatly affect the cost of your move. The more stuff you have, the more expensive it will be to move. This is because the cost is determined by two factors – the time it takes to complete the move and the weight of the stuff that will be moved.

3. Packing services

It takes a lot of time to pack up all your stuff and, for those in an absolute hurry, having someone else do the packing may be a better choice. However, hiring movers to do this on your behalf will add to your overall moving costs. Take note that this kind of service is usually priced at several hundred dollars.

4. Moving add-ons

Just like packing services, movers also provide other add-on services:

  • moving supplies
  • mattress bags
  • stretch wrap
  • disassembling and reassembling furniture
  • moving specialty items

5. Moving supplies

Even if you didn’t get the add-on service from the movers, you’re still going to need cardboard boxes, plastic bins, bubble wrap, packing paper, and other packing supplies. While these don’t cost a lot, you’re still going to need to purchase them (unless you have friends and family who have some stored away). Make sure to carefully calculate how many suppliesyou need so you can get them all in one go. Running out to buy moving supplies takes time which can add to your overall moving costs.

6.Moving date

We’ve already discussed that how you move greatly affects the overall costs of your relocation expenses. But when you move is equally important. The date of your move can affect the price given to you by the movers. Weekend moves cost much more. There is also a peak season for moving, between April to September. The cost of moving during this time tends to be a lot more expensive due to the high demand.

7. Liability and valuation coverage

A moving company is required by federal law to offer customers who are moving to a different state Released Value Protection and Full Value Protection. The most basic protection is typically included in the cost of your move, so it won’t really cost you anything extra. If you’re worried about any of your things getting damaged or lost, you can get Full Value Protection which will require the moving company to replace your item or reimburse you. Just take note that getting this level of protection will cost you extra.

Should you take a personal loan for moving?

Obviously, you’re going to need a lot of cash in order to relocate to your new place. If you’ve already put down a lot of money on your new place, you might be short on cash in the bank. A small personal loan can help you cover the expenses of relocation. The question is, should you?

Well, it depends. Short-term personal loans can help you meet a financial need which, in this case, is moving to a new place. If you really need to move right away and have no way to delay until you’re in a better financial position, then a personal loan might be your best bet. The same thing applies if you are relocating to a better financial future (i.e., higher paying salary). Having more income will offset the cost of interest you’ll need to pay with the loan.

Those aren’t the only advantages. Personal loans are typically unsecuredwhich means you aren’t required to put up any collateral. You don’t have to worry about losing your home or your car if you default on the loan (though you really shouldn’t default on the loan). Another advantage of going this route is that personal loans usually have a fixed interest rate for the life of the loan. Repayments will be much easier to budget compared to credit card debt. Of course, this presupposes that repaying the loan won’t cause you financial distress. If you aren’t able to make the payments comfortably, then maybe this isn’t an option you should take.

In addition, if you can wait to relocate until you have the money to pay the cost of moving, then you should. It is better to save than to take on debt. Also, if you aren’t going to get an increase in salary, then getting a personal loan for moving expenses may not be the best idea.

How to find a moving loan

Finding a personal loan to pay for your moving expenses may not be too difficult. There are a lot of lenders to choose from, as long as you are able to meet their requirements. You can check with your local bank and credit unions to see what they can offer you. You should also check online lenders and compare their quotes to see which ones are able to offer you the best interest rates and terms.  As we’ve already said, you need to find a personal loan that you can take on comfortably. Moving to a new place is stressful enough. You don’t want to put yourself in a financial crisis on top of it.

EFCC arraigns Jamb official who claim snake swallowed N35m

EFCC Arraigns Woman, Two others who Claim Snake Swallowed JAMB’s N35m

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today, Friday, May 31, 2019, arraigned Philomina Chieshe, the controversial official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, who claimed that the N35, 480, 000 (Thirty Five Million Four Hundred and Eighty Naira) being JAMB proceeds in her custody was swallowed by a snake in Makurdi, Benue State JAMB office. She was arraigned before Justice Peter Affen of the FCT High Court, Maitama. Two other officials of JAMB also arraigned alongside Chieshe were Samuel Sale Umoru and Yakubu Jekada.

The trio were arrested by the Commission in 2016, following an audit report indicting them over the alleged graft and were arraigned on charges bordering on fraud, misappropriation of funds and criminal breach of trust while holding sway as Jamb officials in Benue and Plateau States, respectively.

Two of the suspects were arraigned on eight counts 1 to 7 charges but Philomina Chieshe was arraigned on the count eight alone.

One of the counts reads: “That you Samuel Sale Umoru and Philomina Chieshe between August, 2014 and July, 2016 in Abuja and Benue state within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court while respectively being the State coordinator and clerical officer of the Joint and Admissions Matriculations Board Zonal office, Makurdi and in such capacity entrusted with the dominion over certain properties to wit, N35,480,000.00 (Thirty Five Million, Four Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira) being proceeds realized from the sales of e-facility cards belonging to JAMB committed criminal breach of trust by dishonestly using said funds and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 315 of the Penal Code Law.”

While the last count charge preferred on Philomina Chieshe reads: “That you, Philomina Chieshe sometime in June 2016, in Abuja within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court being legally bound to furnish to the management of Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) information on the financial status of the Jamb e-cards supplied to the Benue Zonal Office of JAMB between 2014 and 2016 stated that the sum of N36,510,500 being the value of the shortfall of unremitted e-JAMB cards disappeared as a result of manipulations from the kingdom of darkness which claim you knew to be false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 139 (a) of the Penal Code Law.”

The defendants pleaded “Not Guilty” to the charges.

In view of the “non-guilty” plea, the Prosecution counsel, Ekele Iheanacho, urged the court to pick a trial date while asking that the defendants be remanded in prison custody pending the commencement of trial.

However, the counsels to both first and second defendants, A. Ihejerika and O. Mark, pleaded with the court to consider their bail applications which were filed respectively on Thursday, May 30 2019. The prosecution counsel, however, raised objection, stating that he was only served with the applications this morning and that it is right for him to go through them and respond accordingly.

He then asked the court for a short adjournment so that he can properly file a response to the applications.

Justice Affen, in his ruling, said that the prisons are fully congested with many awaiting trials and that there is no point sending more people there adding that the defendants be remanded in the EFCC’s custody and adjourned hearing to Monday, June 3, 2019, for consideration of the bail applications.

In another development, the Justice Affen also ordered that Yakubu Jekada, a former Plateau state coordinator of JAMB zonal office, also be remanded in the custody of the EFCC pending the hearing for his bail application fixed for Monday, June 3, 2019.

Jekada was arraigned by the EFCC on a 4-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and diversion of monies belonging to JAMB to his personal use.

Count 3 of the charge reads thus, “That you, Yakubu Jekada between 2009 and 2016 in Abuja and Plateau state within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court while being the State coordinator of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) Zonal office, and in such capacity entrusted with the dominion over certain properties to wit, N11,189,000.00 (Eleven Million, One Hundred and Eighty Nine Thousand Naira) being proceeds realized from the sales of e-facility cards belonging to JAMB committed criminal breach of trust by dishonestly using said funds and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 315 of the Penal Code Law.”

Jekada however pleaded “not guilty” and in this vein, the Prosecution counsel, Iheanacho prayed the court to pick a trial date and remand the defendant in prison custody pending the consideration of his bail application.

Counsel to the defendant, Emmanuel Sadiq, notified the court of the pending bail application which was filed on Thursday and asked that his client be released on bail.

Opposing the motion, Iheanacho told the court that he was just served the application after the charges have been read to the defendant. Thus, he will need to read through properly and file his response to the application.

Learn how to qualify for a personal loan while on a pension.

There was a time when retirement meant getting to enjoy a life of leisure. There was no need to stress about anything because your pension would cover all your main expenses, including hobbies, utilities, and food. Life was good. Unfortunately, times have changed. It’s quite easy to fall on hard times these days when you’re living on just your pension. Most monthly pensions aren’t able to handle unexpected emergencies. Now, before you retired, you could easily have gotten a personal loan because you still had a job, which is a requirement of most lenders. Pensioners, on the other hand, may find that their choices have become limited. Fortunately, that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to get one. You just have to do a bit of extra work. And we’re here to help you learn how.

What is a Personal Loan for Pensioners?

A personal loan for a pension holder isn’t that much different from one offered to working individuals. Personal loans are unsecured installment loans. That means you aren’t required to back up your loan with collateral. If you default on the loan, you aren’t in any direct danger of losing your car, house, or other assets. Because of this, lenders place a lot of emphasis on your income – like, how much it is, and how steady it is. Lenders often have a minimum income requirement which you must meet.

How to Apply for a Small Personal Loan for Pensioners

As we’ve already mentioned, lenders consider your source of income when you inquire about a personal loan. Well, your pension is actually a steady source of income. And there are lenders who are open to considering your application. You just have to look at their eligibility requirements. However, for some borrowers, their Social Security or pension payments are not enough to qualify due to the minimum income requirement of some lenders. Fortunately, there are ways around this. One way to do this is to set up periodic payments from your investment accounts or retirement funds into your bank account. You’ll need to do this for three years as this is the usual time period that most lenders look at to evaluate an applicant’s income. You don’t even need to use the funds. The purpose of this is to show the lenders that you are able to access the necessary money to pay off the loan. When you get the loan approval, you can stop the payments entirely.

Another way to make yourself more attractive to lenders is to have assets. Assets can often be used to evaluate individuals with insufficient income. To do this, you can use the asset depletion strategy. This involves dividing your available assets by 36 months. The number you get shows, in theory, how much you can use on a monthly basis. For example, if you have an investment account with funds amounting to $1 million, you can state that this can provide you with an additional monthly income of $27,777.

Your credit score will also have a significant impact on your loan application. Financial experts recommend that a pensioner maintain a credit score of 720 or above to make qualifying for a loan much easier. Before you submit an application, it is best if you check your credit reportto see where you stand as well as have a chance to resolve any discrepancies. To improve your credit, you will need to make sure that you pay off your balances to lower your credit utilization ratio and make on-time payments.

Aside from improving your credit and using your assets to make yourself more qualified for loan approval, it’s a good idea to inquire with financial institutions you are already doing business with such as your local bank and credit union. Your financial history with your bank or credit union will enable them to see past your “lack” of qualifications. The years of financial data that they have on you will show them how reliable you are as a borrower. Just keep in mind that the first offer you get may not be the best offer there is.

Aside from doing your research on the lenders and preparing all your necessary information for the loan application, you’re going to need to make a repayment plan. Just because you can qualify for an online loandoesn’t mean you should get one. Also, in an emergency situation, you need to make sure that you aren’t left in a worse financial situation than when you started. You have limited funds when you’re on a pension and whatever money you have needs to last for a decade or so, which is why you should make sure that your monthly repayments fit in your budget.

Alternatives for Pensioners

Aside from a personal loan for pensioners, retirees have other alternatives to access ready cash. A reverse mortgage is a good option if you don’t have much cash but own valuable assets. This type of loan is available to homeowners who are 62 years old or above. It converts part of the equity of their homes into cash. So, how does it work? Well, the lender will make monthly payments to the borrower. In exchange, he or she won’t need to pay off the loan while he or she continues to live in the home as their primary residence. The home, therefore, serves as collateral. Once the borrower no longer lives in the home, the loan will need to be repaid in full within around six months. The borrower can also sell the home to pay off the balance. If the reason for the loan is home repairs, then a pensioner can apply for a home improvement personal loan.  Other alternatives include a cash advance from your credit card, a home equity loan, or a payday loan.

Get money to help with maternity leave through a personal loan.

A new baby in the family is a source of joy. Unfortunately, the fact that most companies in the U.S. don’t offer paid maternity leave can take away some of that happiness. This means that you’ll have to find a way to fund your unpaid maternity leave. As if giving birth wasn’t stressful enough, right? The good news is that soon-to-be mothers can take out a personal loan for maternity leave. This provides access to money while they stay home with the baby during the first few months. The question is, how does one go about getting a maternity leave loan?

Can I get a personal loan while on maternity leave?

Before we answer the first question, we’ll need to discuss whether you’re eligible for a personal loan when you’re already on maternity leave. While you can request an online loan during this time, you may find it difficult to get approval. This is because, by this time, you are no longer working or earning a salary, which raises the risk of your ability to repay the loan. In addition, there is the uncertainty of when you will be returning to work or if you are even planning on coming back to work. Even if you are approved, maybe you will not get the best loan terms and rates possible. If you are part of a couple and your partner is earning a salary, you may attempt to qualify using his or her credit credentials. Many lenders will require a strong credit history before granting approval.

So, when should you get a personal loan for maternity leave?

The best time to take out a personal loan is before you take your maternity leave. Not only will this increase your chances of qualifying for more competitive rates, but it will also mean that you get the funds earlier. Should you need to use personal loans for unexpected medical costs, such as premature birth, you’ll already have money to cover a large hospital bill.

Steps to finding a personal loan for maternity leave:

1. Calculate how much you’ll need.

Before you start sending out applications to lenders, you need to determine how much money you’ll need to cover all your expenses. Your budget should include all your current pre-baby bills like rent, food, utilities, mortgage, credit cards, etc., and any expenses you foresee coming with the arrival of the baby such as formula, diapers, clothes, baby wipes, and other baby essentials. Make sure to have some room in your budget for unexpected emergencies such as illnesses and complications during childbirth. A hospital bill can go for thousands of dollars. You may also want to make sure you account for the possibility that you may not be able to return to work as planned.

2. Budget in your first payment.

Borrowing money should help you avert a financial crisis, not create one. You should make sure that you have enough money to make the first, possibly even the second, payment without affecting your budget for the house and the baby. Typically, the first payment is due around 45 days or 8 weeks after the funds have been disbursed, which means you may still be on maternity leave. Estimate how much that payment will be and include it in your calculations. You may want to include the payments for the first 3 months, depending on how long you plan to stay on leave, just to be sure you don’t default on the loan.

3. Make sure that your employer will keep your job open.

The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) requires certain employers to provide eligible employees 12 weeks of unpaid leave. Take note that not all employers are required to follow this law, only those with employees numbering 50 and above. In addition, to be eligible for this benefit, you must have been employed with the company for at least 12 months and have worked for at least 1,250 hours during the 12 months before going on leave. In short, the FMLA ensures you have a job to get back to after your leave is done provided all the criteria are met.

If this law is not applicable to you, you need to validate with your employer that you have a job waiting for you after your leave is done. Remember, you’ll need that source of income to supplement the upcoming expenses as well as pay off the loan. If your job doesn’t remain open to you, then you need to make sure that you have an alternative source of income to help you make ends meet after your leave is done and the money from the loan has been spent.

4. Check your options.

A quick search online will tell you that there are plenty of lenders you can go to. Obviously, you want to get the best rate and loan terms. To find out which loan will work best for your situation, you need to look at two main costs – interest and fees.

Personal loans can have an interest rate ranging from 4 percent to 35.99 percent. The interest rates are typically fixed or stay the same over the life of the loan. While a low-interest rate is a more attractive option, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s better for your situation. Due to your lack of a salary during maternity leave, you may be better off going with a longer repayment period to make things more financially manageable. This means paying more interest over time. Paying a loan off sooner will save you money on interest, but it can mean higher monthly repayments, which might be difficult for you to manage.

As for fees, you should note if a lender charges an origination fee. This kind of fee is typically 1 percent to 5 percent of the loan amount and is usually deducted from the amount you receive. This means that you’ll be getting less than what you asked for. Something you should account for since you may need every single penny from that loan in the upcoming months. Look out for the prepayment penalty. Some lenders will charge you a fee if you pay your loan off early. This is to ensure that they get some of the interest costs back that they lose when you pay off the loan before the term ends.

Alternative Options

There are a lot of ways to get financial assistance while on maternity leave, not just personal loans. To find out what’s available to you, you need to check first with the HR department of your company. While it is true that not all companies offer paid maternity leave, you may want to inquire with your HR department if they offer any alternatives such as short-term disability insurance for new mothers.

Aside from your company, you can also check the programs offered by your state. Some states such as New York, Rhode Island, and California have temporary disability programs that you can use to cover your maternity leave.

Other options open to you include a home loan, a 401K loan, and payday loans. Another good option is to save money prior to going on maternity leave. You can do this by setting aside money each payday. You can also rack up some overtime or get a side hustle to increase your income and have enough money to put away after all the bills are paid. The bottom line is that there are plenty of ways that you can become financially secure during unpaid maternity leave. Just make sure to plan so that you can freely enjoy your time with your new bundle of joy.

Dad who made his kids have sex with him, his wife, ex-wife and dog gets 341 years jail

Christopher Sena was jailed for 341 years Tuesday for raping his kids with his ex-wife Debbie Sena (top right) and most recent wife Terrie Sena (bottom right) (Pictures: Las Vegas Metropolitan PD) A father who spent 12 years forcing his children to have sex with him, his wife, ex-wife and the family dog was jailed for 341 years. Christopher Sena, 52, was handed 60 life terms Tuesday after he targeted eight immediate family members and close relatives, then filmed the abuse. Sena, of Las Vegas, made his victims, who were both male and female, have sex with him, their mother and stepmother while being filmed. Judge William Kephart told the court that only a sentence stretching ‘hundreds’ of years would suffice for Sena’s ‘highly selfish’ and ‘very perverted’ behavior, which saw him convicted of 95 sex crimes. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, he added: ‘I’m ashamed that it had to come out of the city that I love.’ Sena and Debbie. He hailed his love for his family on Facebook, but had secretly spent 12 years filming himself sexually abusing them (Picture: Facebook) Sena was convicted in February, with prosecutor James Sweetin telling the court: ‘We know who he is because he’s demonstrated who he is over a decade. ‘This was all done without concern for the children or anyone else. This is what he wanted, and this is what he got.’ Barefoot commuter enjoys energetic freestyle dance on filthy train floor The horrific abuse was finally uncovered in September 2014 during a SWAT raid at Sena’s trailer in Nellis Air Force Base. Officials obtained video footage of the sex attacks. The pervert’s estranged wife Deborah Sena, 53, and first ex-wife Terrie Sena, 48, were handed life sentences before Tuesday’s hearing. Both women took plea deals which saw them handed a single life sentence for allowing the abuse to happen, and will be eligible for parole in 10 years. Before Sena’s arrest, he regularly posted about his love for his family on Facebook. He spoke of his son learning a ‘valuable lesson’ after being made to clean up the family’s home after making a mess, and said he and Deborah ‘make the best couple in the world.’

Nigerian lady claims Jesus is powerless and doesn’t exist (Video)

A Nigerian lady, Chinemerem Obieze has said that the name of Jesus is powerless in their kingdom because he doesn’t exist.

In a video which is now making rounds on social media, the lady can be seen having a conversation with a man whom she tells that she’s an “Ogbanje” from birth.

She further stated that pastors who claim to cast the evil spirits out of her kind, are actually taking their powers and that’s why she can’t be close to any pastor who wants to pray for her so they don’t steal her power.

She then went on to challenge any pastor who’d go to their chambers and call the name of Jesus to see if there’d be any effect.

Popular Brazilian singer, Gabriel Diniz dies in plane crash while on his way to his girlfriend’s birthday party (Photos)

Popular Brazilian singer, Gabriel Diniz, 28, who was one of Brazil’s most successful pop stars, has died in a plane crash.

The plane took off from the city of Salvador in Bahia state on Monday 27 May, bound for Maceió in the east coast, but it crashed due to bad weather in the town of Porto do Mato, Estância, in the state of Sergipe, Brazil.

Diniz was killed along with two pilots, Linaldo Xavier, and Abraão Farias. The star had reportedly been travelling to meet his girlfriend to celebrate her birthday.

‘It is with great pain that we can confirm the death of Gabriel Diniz and the plane’s crew,’Gabriel’s representatives confirmed to Us Magazine.

Brazilian media reported that the Piper PA-28 Cherokee was deemed airworthy, but was not licensed for air taxi trips such as the one Diniz was apparently making. It was instead only meant to be used for flight training.

But Diniz’s father slammed the report and said Diniz had booked and paid for the flight, and had not caught a free ride as some of his friends had claimed.

Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) is reported to be investigating the crash, and has suspended the Aeroclube de Alagoas which operated the aircraft.

Diniz built up his music career while also working as an electrical engineer. He grew a huge following in Brazil, particularly in the wake of his 2018 hit, Jenifer, which has 237m views on YouTube.

His final Instagram post was following a concert in Feira de Santana, Brazil.

“Always a joy to return to Feira de Santana and be greeted with such joy and with so much positive energy. Thank you for the kindness…until next time God willing” he wrote.

Here are photos from the scene with the wreckage of the small plane on display.
